Decadent or Simple

Some mornings I want a plethora of decadent tastes, fruit, granola, yogurt, and chocolate ...

... other mornings I want it simple, just black coffee and toast.

Simple and relaxing ... and in its own way, when you are in the mood. as tasty and as pleasing as a decadent cornucopia of flavours.

What's your favourite breakfast ... and what did you have this morning?

Sue xx

And no I haven't swallowed a dictionary ... just using a couple of my favourite words.

  1. We're having cheesy scrambled egg this morning.....on toast for husband, no toast for me. A favourite breakfast would be the scrambled eggs with Philly-type cheese stirred through instead of Cheddar as today, along with little bits of smoked salmon. Oh and Eggs Benedict, that would be my birthday breakfast. And yes I reckon you HAVE had a dictionary for breakfast! lol

    1. Ooh cheesy scrambled eggs. They used to be a favourite of mine ... and yes mine would be on toast. You need the crunch of the toast to set off the lightness of the scramble!!

  2. Blueberry oat pancakes with natural yogurt - and that's more or less my favourite apart from maybe oat waffles.

  3. I don't normally have anything else but Greek yoghurt and berries (strawberries when in season or frozen berries in the winter months) but my favourite breakfast would be a 3 course full English - the sort you get when staying in a B&B! (Anything really as long as I don't have to cook it!).

    1. Oh gosh yes, I love a breakfast when we're away. Copious cups of fresh coffee, a choice of anything off the menu and no pots to wash. And just as you leave, an apple and a pan au chocolat to have for later.

    2. Oh Strawberries ! I have only just found out how heavily they are sprayed...7 times in Australia, so I will only be eating home grown or organic from now, such a shame as they are a lovely treat.

  7. I don't normally eat breakfast these days (intermittent fasting) but if I do eat it my favourite would be creamy scrambled eggs (with an extra yolk added) on a piece of multi-grain toast (a real treat when you are on Keto), along with a couple of rashers of really good, thick bacon, along with a large mug of tea!

  10. Today was oatmeal, tomorrow will be yogurt. I kind of switch off. Then on Sundays Harvey usually makes "brunch", which I mostly breakfast really. Eggs over easy, toast and bacon.

    God bless.

  12. Today I had a high fibre cereal with soya milk and raspberries, it was delicious, we go through lots of berries here, I usually have toast a few times a week, I can't eat too much bread as it bloats me out.

  14. Berry Granola, Eat Natural vitamin enriched granola sprinkled on it along with some milled linseed with cranberry and blueberry, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and then stewed apple to bind it as I can't have yoghurt at the moment.

Sometimes it is just a piece of homemade bread toasted with goat butter.
