A lovely collection... I love William Morris’ philosophy and designs. His Red House isn’t a huge distance from here - but seems far enough if you walked! He used to walk down to our railway station to travel to London. On the bank which leads up to our Woods is a stone - depressingly like a tombstone - commemorating his regular walk. It took a few years for me to hobble up to look. Up until then I’d thought a dog had been buried there but couldn’t understand how the council had allowed it!

ReplyDeleteAll nice stuff, but a bit too much for one mantelpiece for my taste. Still, good job we're not all the same :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteI do see what you mean ... but as it's virtually my ONLY shelf it tends to hold everything 😊
