Confusing Photo

This photo caused a lot of confusion when I shared it on my Facebook page last week.

Some people saw the mirrored bathroom cabinet for what it is, and understood the reflection of the heated towel rail on the wall over the end of the bath that you can see in it.

Others saw it as a teeny tiny towel rail stuck on the mirror ... and now that they've pointed it out that's exactly what I see every time I look at it  😃🤣

I'm off for my second Covid jab this morning, as it's a 30 minute car ride away it will be a good judge of how my back copes with a longer car journey.   It was excruciatingly sore last night after my lunchtime visit with the physiotherapist.  I have another appointment next Friday so he can inflict some more torture  😳

  1. Yes, I saw the tiny towel rail, and thought 'Uh?'...when you explain it's obvious!
Hope the car ride doesn't stir your back up too much.

    1. It's a funny optical illusion isn't it.

It's a very bad back day today, the staff at the vaccination centre were brilliant when they saw how bad I was.

  2. I hope you feel better soon and good luck with your jab.

    1. The jab went fine, the nurse said I probably wouldn't even feel any sore arm this time, my back pain is eclipsing everything ☹️

  5. Hope your back gets better soon, seems to have been going on for a while now - must be so frustrating. Have you got an exercise regime from the physio?

    1. Four weeks and one day, the physio couldn't do much but did try a bit of manipulation with me sitting in front of him ... I haven't been able to lie down since this started. Whatever he did seems to have made it a lot worse today, but one of the volunteers at the vaccination centre said things might improve tomorrow ... gosh I hope she's right.

  7. I saw a bathroom cabinet with a reflection. Hope your back is better soon. I know when I was laid up in February how debilitating it was

    1. It's really knocked me out this time, and what a bloody inconvenient time for it to go. ☹️

  8. Now THAT photo should be sent in to a magazine or something... because the only thing I see is the towel rack hanging on a cabinet. No mirror in sight! Isn't that funny, what some see and others don't? The brain is a mysterious thing. I hope your arm feels better quickly. Mine was much more sore with the first jab than with the second. But not for too long. Take care~ Andrea xoxo

    1. It's strange isn't it, I guess I'll have to find a better place to stand if I'm photographing the bathroom again. 😃🤣

I've not even felt any arm pain this time, the back pain is eclipsing everything. The nurse at the vaccination centre said it might.

  11. I would be tempted to see an orthopedic specialist (MD). Nobody should be in the pain you are experiencing. Your back pain might be beyond the expertise of the physio. Wishing you well.

  12. I see the teeny-tiny rail now you've mentioned it, in fact I can't see anything else now.
I hope the jab went well and your back is easing up a bit. Jon had a terrible time with his three years ago last week and is still really wary about lifting and bending. Take care. xxx

    1. Haha, yes once you see that it alters the photo for you 😃

The jab went great, it was the pain in getting there for it that was the problem, but the nurses and volunteers were really helpful.

  13. Bad timing on the sore back with all of your moving; not that there is ever a good time to get a sore back. I suppose all of the packing, moving aggravated it. Hope you can get relief soon.

    1. I'm hoping I'm over the worst now, a double house move is not ideal at a time when the heaviest thing you can lift is a 2 litre pop bottle 🤣

  14. I know you are not posting right now...hope your back gets back to normal.
I was watching a Dr. Who episode and she mentioned she would get a purple couch if her wants be. I thought of you and now wonder if you are going to name your place TARDIS.:)

    1. Haha ... no I don't think so, mostly because my place is as small inside as it is on the outside!!

  15. It's now 2 weeks since that last post and I see that the 2nd jab seemed fine with little or no after-effects, but it's worrying that your back may be worse, enough to stop you posting. I hope that there is some offer of relief in the near future. Thinking of you and hoping you will soon be fit and pain-free.

    1. Unfortunately, I went right back to square one after my visit to the physio and have had to fight back to movement again one day at a time. Still in considerable pain and unable to lie down in any direction ... all I can say is bugger!!
