There were some weird artworks though, and she was always gracious enough to smile at unveilings ... I doubt I could have managed that sometimes. But yes, you are totally right she always made a good photo, whether regally dressed or in her tweed skirts and brogues.
We watched much of the ceremony and it was done so perfectly. Hundreds of thousands of people lining the route to pay their last respects and it was Respect with a capital R which she truly deserved for dedicating her entire life to her country and her people.

DeleteWhat a spectacular bit of pagentry her funeral was. It was touching to see everyone lining the streets to say goodby.
ReplyDeleteA State Funeral is designed to let as many people as possible both take part in and watch. It was all done so beautifully.
