Thank you for all the comments yesterday.
It would seem that we are all on the same wavelength, I thought we would be, but it was nice to hear from so many of you and some new commenters and gather in all our opinions. I typed onions there at first instead of opinions and made myself literally laugh out loud ... and of course spell check did nothing as onions are a word. So gather in your onions to your hearts content. π
I seem to be having two Fridays this week as I was convinced it was Friday all day yesterday, not that I'm complaining ... I have always loved That Friday Feeling.
My only question to you today is - What are you looking forward to over the weekend?
If the weather plays fair I intend to pot on some tomato plants, have a tidy up of the paths and sleeper edges and then set Alan free with our new pressure washer to clean up the patio area which has lots of unsightly green bits. Then we may even go out for a coffee and a slice of cake and take the doggies with us. They love the social side of it as much as we like the cake.
Sue xx
I'm looking forward to my husband coming home from 10 days in hospital after major cancer surgery - looking forward but nervous at the same time! Have a good one! xx
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for (and still may get) a visit from our youngest son and the grandcat as well as working outside. While I still might get the visit from youngest son and the cat I won't be working outside as the snow and rain have hit us once again. Still I plan to enjoy the long weekend (Victoria Day weekend) here in Canada.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We're going home tomorrow after our longest stay at the van so far this year.....8 nights. So lots of unpacking, washing and housework for me! Husband will have to cut the grass and water everything (if it hasn't rained quite enough!). Enjoy your coffee and cake.
ReplyDeleteWith our temperatures due to soar to 34c this weekend, I will be staying inside with the a/c. Of course, I am also wearing a full leg brace and facing ACL reconstruction surgery in the coming weeks, so it is not like I would be out dancing :) or gardening--though I did plant a few potted flowers on my kitchen deck yesterday. I'm afraid that will be it for my summer gardening adventures this year. :(
ReplyDeleteMy oldest son's birthday is this week so we will celebrate that! He will be 43 this year and he has given me joy his whole life! So I have lots to be thankful for this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm just catching up and hope you had a wonderful holiday, Sue! We're off to the circus tomorrow - I can't wait! xxx
ReplyDeleteWe have no family visiting this weekend and G has the weekend off for once so some gardening for us too. We have booked a pub lunch for Sunday so no cooking for me. Yay!! Gather in your onions to your hearts content Sue ππ
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteI’m going to use the weekend to do a late spring clean. Not very interesting but I’ll feel so virtuous once it’s done
ReplyDeleteHi, I enjoy reading your blog, I have a few that are my morning read with my first cuppa of the day over in Oz. Going to be a wet week end here so probably a fair bit of reading and vid watching. Enjoy your week end. Wendy C, Bribie Is
ReplyDeleteI hope the weekend isn't too wet. DD1 lives in Morayfield so I have some idea of what is happening there.
DeleteAnother Oz here, I went camping, slept in my car, yes it rain a lot but not heavy. Good first experience to iron out details of how to do things and stuff to take. Loads of fun with 2 friends.
DeleteIt is my youngest's 13th birthday today so we will be celebrating that and there will be visitors. Lots of wuashing and ironing - I was too tired from my chemo to do any yesterday and day before. Hopefully getting the patio swept and pots mived aeound/ some planted up
ReplyDeleteI hope to collect my friend from hospital post hip (hop) op. As we both live alone with a dog each I have been in sole charge of them at her bungalow. No doubt her cocker will be pleased to see her and we will all get along fine. Her brain will be used to decide what we eat and when, but I expect that my brawn will be walking, cooking, shopping and driving for four. My home is only a couple of miles away.
ReplyDeleteCollected. All done in/out in 58 hours!
DeleteLooking forward to visiting a garden centre and buying some plants for my hanging baskets. Garden Centre shopping is the only shopping I enjoy!! It's my birthday treat and I can't wait to get my hands in the compost and start potting up and having a few glasses of wine while I am at it. My perfect afternoon. Have a lovely weekend Sue and enjoy your gardening.
