My Darling Bella Boo

Bella died cuddled in my arms at the vets yesterday afternoon.

She came into our lives only two months ago like a little whirlwind of joyful puppy energy. She brought happiness and laughter to everyone she came into contact with ... family, friends, neighbours here on the caravan park, and complete strangers whenever we were out and about with her. Peoples eyes would light up as we approached and big beaming smiles were all she ever saw coming towards her.

A beautiful little dog that touched so many hearts.

Her first journey with us, heading for home..

Watched over from day one.

Adored by Mavis ❤

One of the hillside gang.

Sleeping in the office while we worked, always close, always safe.

But brave enough to bask in the sunshine while I gardened close by.

Sharing her little bed with big sister Suky ...

... and big sister Mavis.

Playing 'selfies' with Mum.

And afternoon naps with Dad.

Exploring Granny's garden ...

... and hogging the table at a family meal out.

A short life,  lived well.

We were all so honoured to have shared it.

  1. Oh Sue, I'm so terribly sorry to read this, I guess she was just too tiny to fight such a massive infection. You're right, she had a lovely life with you all and you'll have nothing but happy memories of her. These animals really move into our hearts, don't they? xx

  42. It was obvious that Bella was well loved and secure within her pack.
You gave her her best life that you could so cherish your memories.
The problem with love is that it often hurts.
Take great care of yourself and the rest of your pack over the next few weeks whilst the raw wounds heal.

  59. Oh dear Sue, so sorry your tiny little friend Bella couldn't stay with you very long. Sometimes the special ones only visit for a short while.

  60. Oh that's awful news, Sue. I'm crying for a little dog I never even met, yet loved because of your decriptions and photos. To lose sweet Bella at such a young age is particularly cruel for you and I can feel your heartache. As has been said, her time with you was filled with love, from you and all the other pets; she fitted in perfectly, didn't she? She can't possibly be replaced but I hope that in time you can feel able to adopt another fur-baby into your family. Big (((((((HUGS))))))) for you, Alan and her little furry friends.
