  1. I call it a gift of time if a plan is cancelled.

    1. Oh yes, it seems as though all our disappointments and punishments as children have been turned into treats as adults. Cancelled parties or nights out mean we can curl up at home and watch a film without having to get dressed up, being sent to our room would be a brilliant chance to read a good book, being grounded would mean time spent at home simply pottering, and going to bed early ... well that is just heaven :-)

  2. It's like being given empty hours on a plate, a gift.

    2. I agree. I love Gladys Taber's books. I read them every year.

    3. I just Googled her ...

"We need time to dream, time to remember, and time to reach the infinite. Time to be.”

      “I suppose I am a sparrow, a stay-at-home bird.”

      You're right I think I would :-)

  4. Love it when something is cancelled. It just means I get to stay home curled up and do whatever I want.

    God bless.
