So ... what was jettisoned in my cupboard clearout? Put straight into a box for the car boot sale on Saturday.
Basically anything that we don't use.
No matter how pretty or potentially useful, if it hasn't been used since it arrived here at the Van it went into the box.
A duplicate Pyrex jug, some plastic fridge boxes, some travel drinking cups that I have never used ... and will never use. The cheap bowls that are surplus to requirements, a pretty jug and bowl set and a couple of tins.
I kept a few plastic containers that I will use over and over, they won't sell and I'm not going to recycle them just for the sake of it.
My main fridge boxes are going to be this sort from now on, glass dishes with silicon or plastic lids, not perfect ... but better.
Morning snuggles with Bella.
After her breakfast we retire back to bed so I can drink coffee and surf YouTube or read a bit of my book. After a quick play with teddy she curls up and falls asleep.

I could do with those lock and lock boxes, bought a similar big box at car boot and lid won't stay shut! Annoying.

The reason the jug has stayed with me for so long is because it's pretty. But it doesn't get used ... the pretty pattern detracts from any flowers I put in it, it's too small for custard and we don't use a milk jug any more.

I like the glass storage containers too. They are better to use in the microwave and can also be used as storage. I love the picture of beautiful Bella!
ReplyDeleteMuch easier to open too. I'm finding these clip lock boxes very fiddly, especially as I seem to have two different styles ... and I'm always trying to get the wrong lid on the wrong box 😆😄🙃

ReplyDeleteShe really is, she brightens everyone's day, not just ours. Every time we go out peoples eyes light up, and because she's so tiny she has sat on a lot of wheelchair users laps for a cuddle. It's wonderful to see the effect she has on people that usually might not talk to strangers. ❤

DeleteWell done, those glass storage containers are very handy but after the first set I found some that are Pyrex, so bought some of them to use stovetop and in my Airfryer....which I now use instead of the oven for everything except baking my Sourdough.
