Some mornings I want a plethora of decadent tastes, fruit, granola, yogurt, and chocolate ...
... other mornings I want it simple, just black coffee and toast.
Simple and relaxing ... and in its own way, when you are in the mood. as tasty and as pleasing as a decadent cornucopia of flavours.
What's your favourite breakfast ... and what did you have this morning?
Sue xx
And no I haven't swallowed a dictionary ... just using a couple of my favourite words.
We're having cheesy scrambled egg this morning.....on toast for husband, no toast for me. A favourite breakfast would be the scrambled eggs with Philly-type cheese stirred through instead of Cheddar as today, along with little bits of smoked salmon. Oh and Eggs Benedict, that would be my birthday breakfast. And yes I reckon you HAVE had a dictionary for breakfast! lol
ReplyDeleteOoh cheesy scrambled eggs. They used to be a favourite of mine ... and yes mine would be on toast. You need the crunch of the toast to set off the lightness of the scramble!!
DeleteI've never had cheesy scrambled egg. I feel deprived! :))
DeleteBlueberry oat pancakes with natural yogurt - and that's more or less my favourite apart from maybe oat waffles.

Sounds delicious, I'd have mine with Alpro vanilla yogurt on the side please 😃
DeleteI don't normally have anything else but Greek yoghurt and berries (strawberries when in season or frozen berries in the winter months) but my favourite breakfast would be a 3 course full English - the sort you get when staying in a B&B! (Anything really as long as I don't have to cook it!).
ReplyDeleteOh gosh yes, I love a breakfast when we're away. Copious cups of fresh coffee, a choice of anything off the menu and no pots to wash. And just as you leave, an apple and a pan au chocolat to have for later.
DeleteOh Strawberries ! I have only just found out how heavily they are sprayed...7 times in Australia, so I will only be eating home grown or organic from now, such a shame as they are a lovely treat.
DeleteOat, linseed, milk, plum and banana smoothie.
ReplyDeleteMy breakfast today was a broken up weetabix topped with vanilla yogurt and fresh berries. It was delicious.
ReplyDeleteAll bran, fruit (cherries, blueberries, melon& peaches) with milk and break yoghurt.
ReplyDeleteI don't normally eat breakfast these days (intermittent fasting) but if I do eat it my favourite would be creamy scrambled eggs (with an extra yolk added) on a piece of multi-grain toast (a real treat when you are on Keto), along with a couple of rashers of really good, thick bacon, along with a large mug of tea!
ReplyDeletePorridge, with seeds, frozen blueberries and raspberries, and tinned peaches. I alternate between three different breakfasts. Sometimes fancy toast with egg and beans. Sometimes bran flakes, nuts and seeds, and fruit. Coffee always an hour before breakfast.
ReplyDeleteBran flakes, oatly oat milk, ground flaxseed, walnuts, raisins and a banana sliced. Sometimes raspberries or blueberries instead of the banana,a BIG bowlful, yum! - Vera x
ReplyDeleteToday was oatmeal, tomorrow will be yogurt. I kind of switch off. Then on Sundays Harvey usually makes "brunch", which I mostly breakfast really. Eggs over easy, toast and bacon.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Normally I have a banana and a Benecol drinking yogurt. Fridays, I have poached eggs on seeded toast.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite breakfast would be scrambled egg and smoked salmon with a cappuccino.
I
Today I had a high fibre cereal with soya milk and raspberries, it was delicious, we go through lots of berries here, I usually have toast a few times a week, I can't eat too much bread as it bloats me out.
ReplyDeleteIn summer I love to have a bowl of whatever fruit I have in the house with a yoghurt over it for breakfast. In winter either porridge or cornflakes and always tea!
ReplyDeleteBerry Granola, Eat Natural vitamin enriched granola sprinkled on it along with some milled linseed with cranberry and blueberry, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and then stewed apple to bind it as I can't have yoghurt at the moment.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is just a piece of homemade bread toasted with goat butter.
Tea (Earl Grey) as I don't like coffee.
Early shifts for me this week so black coffee and toast for me.
ReplyDeleteAlmost anything Breakfast is my favorite since it's my favorite meal of the day! Today I had Berry Cheerio Cereal topped with Fresh Raspberries, Blackberries and Blueberries and some Herbal Tea.
ReplyDeleteFor many years I had 2 mixed grain toast with peanut butter and Roses Lime marmalade and a huge mug of tea. The next favourite was home made muesli 12 different seeds, nuts and dried fruit.
ReplyDeleteNow I have oatmeal, homemade Almond milk, fruit and a little local, honey to combat allergies.
I am the same as you, sometimes have quite a large breakfast (today had boiled egg and toast) but other days just have toast and marmalade, or overnight oats (yogurt, frozen fruit). Always with coffee.
ReplyDeleteI always eat a good sized breakfast. This morning it was: 2 slices gluten
ReplyDeletefree toast smeared with herb & garlic cream cheese . I made a homemade latte
to drink with it, and sprinkled cinnamon on top. Oh, and a banana, too!
Oatmeal made with 2% milk raisins and brown sugar. Small banana and coffee cream and sugar.
ReplyDeleteHad a bit of a sweet tooth this morning. 🍲🍌☕
On work days I have overnight grape nuts (fruit and yogurt with grape nuts in a jar). I eat it at about 11.30am. On non work days I don't bother with it in summer, and have porridge in winter
