I Need to Be Back

I apologise for leaving things half hearted

 For implying at things

But not speaking about them

For dilly dallying

And not being clear.

I should put the record straight once and for all

But sometimes once you speak the words

Or write them

Their black lines standing darkly on white paper or screen

They are there

And the die is cast

So really at the moment you know as much as me

You are getting a glimpse into the confused state of my mind.

Some of you saw a post pop up earlier this week

And at the time of writing that was it

My mind was made up

But I panicked

And back-tracked

But I should keep in mind that ...

Thank you for all the care and concern shown in the comments over the last couple of days.  I think I just needed some space and clarity to set me on a new track and clear my mind.  You are a great bunch of friends on here ... yes I do consider you friends.  Thank you. xx

  2. I echo what Sue says - take care of yourself, Sue (all Sues here!). Ultimately, we are all responsible for our own state of mind and happiness. And yes we are all friends. xx

  5. Yes Sue we are a band of friends. You all helped me through bereavement - many because they had experienced it themselves. We are here for you whatever crisis is hitting you.

  8. So sorry that you are not in a good place at the moment and you certainly don't need to apologise. In the time that I have been reading your posts you have inspired me, made me think and helped me appreciate what I have especially as lately I have felt hard done by when really I have so much to be thankful for. I have at last got rid of something in my life that has made me miserable for 30 years, it took me a very long time to get the courage to do so and I feel liberated and can concentrate on the most important things that I am dealing with at the moment, one thing at a time and at the moment that one thing is my son's upcoming brain surgery and I shall need all my strength for that. Whatever is troubling you I wish you the strength to come through it, sometimes it is easier to share with people that are not in your immediate circle and you can say as little or as much as you like, when you like with no pressure, Do take care, Chrissie .

  12. I didn't see the 'post flashing across' but hope you are coping and dealing with things as much as you can in whatever the circumstances are at the moment. Follow your heart and remain true to yourself Sue. We Manc birds are tough!

  13. Sometimes in the past I have not put something troubling on my blog because I don't want to 'cast it in stone', to give the problem a shape, form, a permanence. Conversely there have been times when writing something out has been cathartic and helpful.

Sue, you must do whatever feels right to you at that moment. Sometimes it might be 'publish', other days it might be 'private'. The important thing is that whatever you do helps YOU.

And yes, I think that our 'blog friendships' are every bit as valid and important as corporeal ones. I really do not know how I would have got through Daisy's death if I hadn't had the support of my bloggy buddies. Take care dear girl. xx

  15. I do consider you a friend and I do care. Sometimes when we look at a situation we get overwhelmed because we are looking at too many things at once and that is hard for us to process. Slow down and take care of you and then just take one thing at a time. One day at a time and sometimes even one minute at a time. Hugs xx

  21. I've seen your next post and was most relieved because, like others, I was getting a bit worried. So pleased that you are OK.
Friendship doesn't have to be face to face, after all.
