I'm too senitive and need to toughen up more, something which I am working on, I need to be stronger and be more like Brooke and not put up with any bullshit. Thankyou for your last post Sue, it means a lot to me, I will keep in touch and keep and let you know when I write again (will be soon). x
In a way it's sad that WE have to toughen up, other people should 'gently-fy' themselves!! I'm glad you are coming back, do it on your own terms and only when you are ready. And remember you have a lot of friends here that have your back.
I grew up next door to my feisty British grandmother and her response to any concerns for others opinions was "they don't pay my rent !! " ......so don't concern yourself unless you value and respect that person.
Hi Sue I have been having a real nightmare, got locked out of my new blog and had to start again, all sorted now, please delete all these comments if you wish as they are taking over your blog just wanted to let you know all is good.
Don't worry you are not the only one having technical problems with Blogger at the moment. You should have seen the spacing issues with my last Challenging Myself post. Hopefully I've sorted it out now 🤣🤣
I wonder if being more relaxed about being ourselves is a consequence of getting older. I am certainly more happy with myself than I was in my 40s or 50s when I was always striving to progress at work, have fewer lines on my skin, be thinner etc etc. And I definitely feel more comfortable with the fact that if people don't like me or approve of me then that is their problem, not mine.

ReplyDeleteI think we have a lot of feisty Brits here... and I love the sound of your Grandmother :-)
DeleteToo true, I agree 100%.
ReplyDeleteMe too :-)
DeleteSome of the stuff Brooke writes resonates hugely, she is one smart lady. x
ReplyDeleteI think she is a younger, slightly wilder American version of me. Oh for that hair!!
Delete{{Laughing so much I nearly snorted coffee}}
DeleteI want her hair too!
I am a sensitive soul and my venting place is my blog. I don't know if I want to toughen up too much, cause then would I actually be me.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Well then, you sound magnificent ... go for it 😄
DeleteHi Sue I am here now, I have wrote a post, not mentioning what has happened in the last week or so, just moving on and starting again. x
ReplyDeleteHi Sue I have not gone again having technical problems will try and sort at the weekend. x

ReplyDeleteI think you're right. Hopefully people accept us, the newer, relaxed, wilder, stroppier us ... if not it's definitely their problem not ours.
DeleteLove this post and comments:)
ReplyDeleteWe really are a good bunch aren't we :-)
