Headed for Home

It's funny 'borrowing' one of your own photos from Google Images to use on a post, but that's just what I've done today, everything but my laptop and mouse is packed away ready to hit the road for home so my little computer memory box of photos is in the car and my laptop is devoid of all saved photos.

I thought it was time to heed Boris' warning and head for home.  Better for us to be together on 5 acres where we can exercise the dogs in our own paddock, than 120 miles apart, in different countries with different limitations and alone.

So I'm grabbing the Pug, finishing off loading the car and heading for the Welsh hills.

See you on the other side.

  1. It is such a shame Sue, we are closing the campsite today. We are really lucky as we can stay on site, providing security, a point of contact, and the grass will still need to be cut.
Stay safe, hopefully you will still be able to blog here and there, we will get through this by being very sensible. XX

  2. I nearly asked you about that yesterday. Sounds sensible to me.

  3. Probably for the best. Our garden wouldn't count as 'land' but it's big enough to go out and do some jobs, get fresh air and exercise, without coming into contact with anyone else. Not much viewing of properties in the coming weeks, though.

  4. Hi Sue (and Suky) My brother was at his caravan near Preston and was told on Sunday afternoon it was closing so they had to pack up and leave quickly. They live in a flat with a little dog so will find it difficult now. Keep blogging Sue as I will be climbing the walls in a few weeks! Just off now for my daily walk.

  5. I think that's a sensible choice. At least you can grow veg, exercise the dogs, and not see anyone bar the postie .

  6. Sounds like a plan. I'm grateful we have a relatively large garden for the dog to run about in and for me to potter about in. Stay safe. x

  7. Such a shame as you had only just got things nicely organised for the new season.

Hope your journey is a safe one (the roads should be quiet), and look forward to your upcoming posts. Has the Estate Agent been in touch? I fear/suspect that the housing market has to grind to a complete halt, so “not fair” for you after all your hard work.

  9. Stay well and safe everyone. Looks as if it's all kicking off now. I'm glad I have a garden and we live in a rural area. We are self isolating as of now due to being high risk and need to cut all outings to essential only x

  18. It does seem a very sensible thing to do really. Sad but necessary. Stay well.

  19. Our lockdown begins tonight at midnight and the country is in a state of emergency. I am sure that the Police and army will soon restrict movements across the country to keep everyone at home. So I think your decision is wise. To hunker down together where you have more space, but are away from everyone else.

    Stay safe.
