I totally agree. I just read an article about Amsterdam. They are so happy to have their city back from the hoards of tourists and want to find a new way post-Covid19.
Please stay safe and be very careful, I saw on the news that your borders in UK are still open, so anyone can just come in from anywhere else and keep reinfecting randomly all over the place....madness, the numbers are appalling. We are very slowly coming out of lockdown conditions on provisional terms of no new cases continuing in Queensland.
I am really enjoying lots of knitting, lovely walks, less traffic...most of lockdown is my normal life in retirement anyway but I do miss my Art groups and friends catchups.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if schooling could be rethought (some Scandinavian countrys) and work from home was more the norm.....we can but hope for better work, life balance.
Things really do need to change don't they. x
ReplyDeleteDitto
ReplyDeleteWouldn’t it be lovely 💜
ReplyDeleteI agree entirely. We'll have to wait and see how many are on board with this - as it CAN be done.
ReplyDeleteLet's put the planet and people before the economy.
ReplyDeleteI agree, it would be nice if the world took this as a wake-up call that things need to change.

ReplyDeleteI have to agree, we must find a new "normal". We have been given enough warnings. Time to listen. Helen S.
ReplyDeleteYes please!
ReplyDeleteAgree with what you all say - the world must change and this is hopefully a wake up call. Only time will tell whether greed conquers all.
ReplyDeleteWell thats all of us from different backgrounds agreeing so there is hope. I dont want the normal back either.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more. Unfortunately, the long queues for Big Macs does not bode well.

yes I quite like some aspects of this new, slower, cleaner way of living
ReplyDeleteApart from the underlying worry and the lack of family hugs, I love the current normal.

Many cities are finding the air so much nicer and less polluted.
ReplyDeleteparsnip
I honestly think that we will be entering a new normal. Which will be a good thing.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
