I do so agree with you, even if the honesty gives you something you don't want to know or hear at least you have a chance to deal with it there and then rather than somewhere down the line when it becomes something huge and hurtful. What I have learnt is that there are different reasons for dishonesty , selfishness, thinking only what WE want ,what WE need and how WE feel, then the sort where we really do think we are doing the right thing by being dishonest because we don't want to hurt somebody we care about so just go along with it another is cowardice and self preservation and of course, last of all pure deceit. Sometimes it seems obvious to us the one that fits the occasion but even if it is because it is because they thought they were doing the right thing because they love us, it doesn't make it right but maybe makes it easier to sort out. In the end it is also about trust too and I am so sorry to waffle on but this is so close to home for me right now these are just my own feelings . I do so hope you can feel better soon and find a way forward. Chrissie.
