Whenever I hear this comparison, I am reminded of a scene in the Steve Martin movie, Parenthood, where they reflect about how some people love a roller-coaster and some folks hate them. But one doesn't get a choice when it comes to riding life's roller-coaster, so it helps to just focus on the best parts of the ride.
I've certainly never been on a rollercoaster - I remember the frightening noise that famous wooden one in California made - deafening and ominous. Not for me!! I suppose that on a real rollercoaster you feel less scared if you look directly ahead ... and that's probably true of life's rollercoaster too. Just deal with what you need for today Sue. Hugs.
Pretty tough life at times but, yes, just life. xx
ReplyDeleteYes, life is a roller coaster and you just have to ride it. Sometimes you wish you could step off but we fight on looking forward to better times. Tx
ReplyDeleteI have had plenty of ups and downs but as you say 'that's life'
