Yay, it's December.
The run up to Christmas seems to have started everywhere very early this year and I usually really enjoy this time, and yes I did at first, but it seems there's only so much excitement in me.
Hopefully my two lovely Advent calendars, plus my Jacquie Lawson online one will get me back in the Christmas spirit ... oh and my new little fake Christmas tree was delivered last night so that will need decorating and placing somewhere I won't trip over it. 🎄
We've each got two Advent calendars this year in a bid to cheer ourselves up, so of these one was bought my me and one by Alan, and he's got a Lindt chocolate one that he bought for himself and a cheese, chutney and cracker one bought by me that has been stashed in his fridge for the last couple of weeks ... I do hope he hasn't been secretly nibbling on those cheeses!!
Can you guess which one I bought for me and which is the one that Alan chose to get me?
Sue xx 🎄
I'm guessing you bought the socks one and I really love it . . . Christmas socks are brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI hope the festive buzz returns - ((( hugs ))).
xx
Yep, you got it in one. 😀
DeleteI've got my tree up already and lights in the window and swag on the front door and it's brightened up things considerably - - thinking about an advent calendar of socks and pondering that a sock every day through advent would end with an odd sock to replace one that went missing in the wash! Funny the things I ponder at 8.30 in the morning before breakfast!
ReplyDelete(I spent advent calendar money on books!)
Enjoy your tree decorating
I bet your place looks lovely 🎄💖
DeleteAdvent calendars have 24 doors, but I wondered why they were the '12 Socks of Christmas' but then I realised 12 pairs equals 24 socks. I was going to start opening them 12 days from Christmas but then I realised if I start today I can wear each pair twice in December. 😃🤣
No need to guess - Joy beat me to it. Some advents are only 12 days now as I expect you would need a mortgage to purchase some of them if they made them 24 doors!! Don't forget to reveal each of the pairs of socks to us with a photo.
ReplyDeleteSee the last photo ... they were squirrel socks 😀
DeleteHa, I would have guessed the other way around. Saying that, I have to buy my socks as I can’t abide toe seams.
ReplyDeleteNo, I wouldn't buy myself a toiletries one as I only use the same few products due to being allergic to perfume. But it's nice to have some little treats each day. 😃
DeleteYes, I was going to guess that you ordered the socks! This is a fun tradition that you and Alan have. I will start putting up my decorations bit by bit but I know the weeks will go by quickly now!
ReplyDeleteWe're just big kids at heart 😀🤣
DeleteYep, I'd have guessed the sock one bought by you, and the toiletries one by Alan. I'm not quite there in the Christmas decorating stakes yet....still no Christmas spirit yet. It may or may not come.
ReplyDeleteIt's weird I'm sort of half and half. One minute I'm all excited and festive feeling and the next I'm just blah!! I think I need to watch more Christmas films and eat a mince pie. :-)
DeleteI guessed that the socks were your choice too, I love them but I didn't even know such an Advent calendar existed! 😅 Our only nod to Christmas so far is a string of cheap coloured lights around the porch but I do have a fresh foliage door wreath on order for this weekend. I can't believe we're into December already 🤔
ReplyDeleteNeither did I until I saw the White Stuff advert on Facebook ... I just splurged without a second thought :-)
DeleteAlready guessed, but my answers were the same.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Haha ... you all know me so well :-)
DeleteDefinitely socks :-) xx
