Treats for Everyone

It was treats for everyone yesterday.

The plants got a good drink sat in the sink for a couple of hours.  I didn't realise the plug was such a poor fit so I had to refill it a couple of times, but they looked much perkier when I put them all back in their places.  Is it weird that looking at them I thought '|There you can all sit and have a chat and a bit of a catch up' ... yep lockdown madness has set in.  😏😄😆

Suky's treat was another of her peanut butter flavour chews and mine was homemade cheese scones fresh out of the oven with lots of spread and extra cheese on top.

They were eaten whilst watching the last three episodes of The Haunting of Bly Manor.  I highly recommend this, I do like a bit of a scary film or series as long as I watch during the daytime if I'm on my own.  And this has a good story and a really satisfying ending.  I do hate it when you are left baffled or up in the air after investing lots of your time in a series or film.

Brilliant ... for during the day!!

  1. Thanks for the recommendation, I watched an older version years ago so I'll check this one out. I love seeing my plants altogether in the sink having a drink and catchup🤣, they look so happy after. X

    1. I think the older version will be The Haunting of Hill House, seemingly there is a lot of links between the two, if I had known I would have watched that first. Maybe that's my next Netflix binge watch ... during the daytime!!

  2. You just reminded me that its a job I have to do today! My poor plants thrive on neglect most of the time! Nope, I hate feeling scared, I can't watch scary programs, I think I get too involved in films and believe they are real or something!! I'm onto good old Christmas films now! Those Christmas ghosts don't scare me lol. x

  3. After the grandchildren have moved 4 four various sized teddies that sit on the shelf in my bedroom , I always put them back and tell them to sit still and behave until the grandchildren visit again!
    And that was BEFORE lockdown!

  4. What a happy little scenario you have there, Sue. I love it... every bit. Those scones look marvelous and your plants look happy too (btw, I describe and talk to so-called "inanimate objects" too... as I believe everything has life in it, of one sort or another). Unfortunately I can't watch scary stuff even in the daytime. The thoughts come back to haunt me at bedtime. *lol* ~Andrea xoxo

    1. I used to have lots of wacky dreams but since I've moved here I've not had a single one, hence me risking watching something scary. The scones were yummy and from idea to plate in less than 30 minutes :-)

  5. I sometimes talk to the knitted doll I made for Mum which nmow sits on my pillow during the day. Perfectly normal, surely??

    1. Yep, I really think so :-)

I usually talk to Suky but talking to plants and various inanimate objects around the flat gives her a break from mad Mum.

  6. I talk to my plants, if it's good enough for Prince Charles it's okay for us commoners to do it, too!
Craving a cheese scone, now. xxx

  9. Now I want to makes some scones. That is cute how you talk to your plants. Plants do communicate with each other so I don't think that is lockdown madness.
