Roll up, roll up ... it's time to buy a house.
With two homes and enclosures for your feathered friends.
And lots of lovely space with good access to the main road.
Seriously though ... we are back on the market as of yesterday and hopefully, fingers and every other spare appendage crossed we will soon sell and be off on our next adventure, once again mortgage free and raring to go.
Go on have a good nosy .... you know that you want too 😃😄
... and yes I have told them about the two errors!!
Sue xx
Aww, sorry Sue that you're having to find another buyer. On paper (and I guess in real life) the place looks wonderful, you've both worked so hard on it. I'm surprised it hasn't been snapped up. Hope you get a sale going through soon.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't found a single buyer yet! We have a sneaking suspicion that most of our last lot of viewers, who were virtually all from Southern England were having more of an 'Escape to the Country' style holiday in Wales and just wanted to view Welsh cottages. Well I mean if you read that somewhere has 5 acres and then come to see it and then your excuse for not buying it is 'it's too much land' or 'it's not enough land' it's pretty feeble!!
DeleteFingers crossed for this time though.
Ah ok, my mistake, I thought you'd had a buyer who dropped out. I've heard of people who do house viewings purely as a sort of hobby...how rude!
DeleteNo problem 🙂. I would love to be cheeky enough to view houses as a hobby, but I always seem to fall in love with the first or second house I see when I'm looking to buy 🤣🤣
DeleteIt all looks very good, hopefully now you'll get a quicker sale.
ReplyDeleteI hope so, I really don't want to be paying a mortgage for too long. I think I'm mortgage phobic after paying off two in the last seven years!
Delete*haha* I love ya, girl, but noooooooooo thank youuuuuuuu! Too big, too much, gotta be young to take that on. I'm old now and I need small. *lol* Seriously, good luck with the sale. I'm sure it will sell in a heartbeat! It absolutely gorgeous! ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly why we're selling ... I need small too and my new place is just 330 square feet, with a teeny, tiny garden :-)
DeleteI would hold out for a floor plan -it makes a big difference to people coming from afar, as they can see the layout of the property and how it flows.
ReplyDeleteGood luck anyway.
It's worth us asking the agent, but last time we were told they wouldn't make a floorplan up from the measurements taken by the owners. Thank you.
DeleteWell no, you are paying THEM after all and it's up to THEM to come and measure up! The local ones round here wouldn't do one on our house unless we paid extra (no chance) as they were running on a shoe-string budget. As our house is over 4,500 square feet, we felt one was essential and The Smallholding Centre agreed with us and have been absolutely brilliant all the way through.
DeleteIt was due to lockdown restrictions that we didn't originally get a floorplan, but I think you're right we should get one now with this new agent.
DeleteIt is fabulous for the right individuals. I hope you get some genuine interest soon.
ReplyDeleteSo do we :-)
DeleteIt looks beautiful but I can understand the need to live somewhere smaller and more easy to manage.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty easy to manage for anyone in the right mind set and working together. It's just that all our plans have changed due to Alan not retiring in 2017 as he said he would.
DeleteIt looks a lovely house in a super position Sue so don't think it will take long to sell.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a little close to the road for some people, but at the same time having good access is really handy.
DeleteAhh that is so beautiful if I was coming back to the UK Paul would have loved a place like this. So would I but sadly we love Tokyo too much. We find it harder to adapt every single time we come home.
ReplyDeleteI should imagine living in Tokyo is so very different from life in the UK, no wonder you find it hard to adapt.
DeleteYour home and land is all so nice and kept up just perfectly! I have always loved it when you have shown us pictures. I look forward to seeing the new home you are buying now though! Sending you good luck for a fast sale!
ReplyDeleteI'll put up a link to the sales details one day so you can all see it 🙂
DeleteWhat a lovely house! Fingers crossed the right person comes along soon. xxx
ReplyDeleteIt's been a good home for the past 7 years.
DeleteA family will come. Love the life. Be enthralled and buy. :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully, but it's not suited to anyone that has children that need to do after school activities, weekend stuff etc as you would spend so much time ferrying them around. We bought off a couple that had to move back to civilisation for this reason. 🤣😃
DeleteThat is a cozy home. I love it. The land would be a big selling point here.
ReplyDeleteIt's too cosy for me, stifling hot with the Aga and all the insulation etc. I stand outside regularly to cool down!! Yes, the land is well balanced 🙂
DeleteJust beautiful. It looks very homey, and the land so well looked after. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We've worked hard on it over the years 😃
DeleteIt is so stylish and beautifully presented - well done for all that hard work. I agree about the floor plan. Over here we can get a floor plan from the local council - the lot who gave the building consents... it costs, but not much. Worth a phone call to enquire?
ReplyDeleteI think we'll see what we can do about getting a floorplan drawn up this week. 🙂
DeleteIt looks great, Sue. I can't imagine it will be on the market for long before it's snapped up. X
ReplyDeleteHopefully 😀
DeleteFingers, toes and everything else crossed for you. There is no way when you decided to prepare the small-holding for sale and move to your next adventure anyone could have predicted a pandemic, multiple lockdowns and all that brings. Perhaps the vaccine miracle which the media cannot stop talking about will give people confidence and your buyer will appear?
ReplyDeleteSorry I have been AWOL recently - constant battle with Blogger/cookies, inability to sign in to leave comments. Fingers crossed for now, but it is likely the next software update will screw things up again . . .
I know, literally going onto the market at the start of the week that the first Lockdown hit was NOT a good idea 🤣🤣
DeleteI feel for you, I hate computer woes. Technology is brilliant until it decides not to be 🥴☹️
It’s a lovely house (and land) Sue, so keeping my fingers crossed for you and Alan to have a quick sale.
