The Christmas Tree That ...

The Christmas tree that ... sums up 2020 to perfection.

Aldi supermarket in Garstang, I love the managers sense of humour 😄

I do hope that once the toilet rolls are taken down they are well shaken before they no doubt make their way into the staff toilets!!

    1. It mad me smile when I spotted it through the store window on the way in. I just had to get a photograph on the way out :-)

  3. Perhaps it should have had bags of pasta round the bottom?

I saw a great tree last year at the dentists, made entirely of inflated green surgical gloves, the fingers pointing out. I guess PPE wouldn't get used in vain like that this year!

    1. I thought the 'Please wait here' wrapped boxes were brilliant, I guess pasta would soon vanish as it's right next to the exit!!

  4. LOL...the boxes probably contain hand sanitizer...lots and lots of hand sanitizer!

  5. Have you read/got Vere Hodgsons 'Few Eggs and No Oranges?' (Wartime diaries of a single woman in London during the war)I've just picked up a Persephone copy and comparing with my much older ex-library copy decided to keep the older one at it has an interesting dust jacket. So could pass on the Persephone?

    1. No I haven't, it sounds really good, I've just had a look on Amazon to read the reviews, AND have you seen how much the edition with the old dust jacket is selling for? WOW!!

I would love the spare copy if you can part with it. Thank you.

  7. It is a good Christmas tree. I must admit to being excited at finding Kevin the Carrot pyjamas in my local Aldi on Sunday.

It has been a strange year

    1. Haha, Kevin in pyjamas ... yes it's been a strange year, summed up beautifully by a Christmas tree decked out in masks and loo rolls and us being excited about stuffed toy carrots 🤣🤣
