Washday blues not because I'm blue about doing the washing, but because the washing is mostly blue!!
We both seem to wear a lot of blue at the moment, which is handy for being able to chuck everything into the washing machine at the same time. And it would appear that I wear mostly stripes. I do love a good stripe, spot or check ... as long as they are in blue and white or green and white.
Alan likes a good comedy t-shirt or character t shirt. His Chewbacca t-shirt on the line here gets a lot of comments as did his old Sesame Street one with Oscar the Grouch .
The one that says 'Made in the 1950's ... some parts still in working order', gets him stopped in the street, usually by little old ladies eager to tell him how old they are.
In other news ... Ginger says 'Hi' from his new favourite bed, the dog bed in the conservatory. He is fickle that cat, just when we get used to him being in that bed he'll be back to sleeping on the table instead 😸

A favourite colour, blue is! I've always loved it.

I don’t think I have a favourite colour but always like to dry outside when possible. Can’t beat the fresh clean smell.
ReplyDeleteI don't do green (other than plants!), but blue's one of my favourite colours, along with purple, and black & pink together. I've got a friend who has an amazing collection of comedy slogan t-shirts. Husband prefers plain ones, or striped rugby shirts. There, a collection of useless information about us!
ReplyDeleteI'm very fond of a stripe myself and I love to see washing blowing on the line.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with cats? Mog seems to change her favourite sleeping spot every two weeks. X
I love stripes too, but perhaps not the best choice when you are as busty as I am!! Or is it called "making the most of your assets"?!!! We have a new stray (as of last summer) who was quite tame, even more so after neutering and he is a lovely jet black Big Boy. Several times he appeared in the middle of the night, meowing to be let out - we didn't know where he was hiding. Then my daughter found him in my craft room/her office, in a (linen)wardrobe bottom, on a spare feather cushion. That cat knows the best place to be : )
ReplyDeleteCol once had a whole load of white tee shirts with Oscar Wilde quotes - new but from a car boot - a bloke used to have all the unsold stock from Past Times each spring.
ReplyDeleteSeeing all the quotes was quite handy for answering quiz questions!
Since my maiden name is the same as major automobile manufacturer, my t-shirt could have a similar statement to your husband's shirt...with a little twist: A 1950 XXXX...with mainly original parts. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who wears a lot of stripes. To the point where she duplicated a purchase of two tops over a 3 month period. Now I have to say step away from the stripes when we go shopping together.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I love stripes too although I'm a bit too chunky really to wear them. I still do wear them...lol and I love all shades of blue too. Washing dried outside smells lovely.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it lovely to see the washing drying outside, our washing was mainly black yesterday, my favourite colour is purple although I don't wear it that often, I would like to get more navy as it really suits me.
ReplyDeleteGinger looks very happy and comfy as always.
That is a lovely picture of Ginger!
ReplyDeleteI - without thinking - bought new RED bathroom towels some time ago. When do I ever have a washing machine full of red??
ReplyDeleteI LOVE red but I know what you mean!
DeleteHe’s a cat, fickle is deeply coded into his DNA - there is no other way to be!
ReplyDeleteI do love the smell of clothing that has been hung to dry outside.
ReplyDeleteA line of washing blowing in the breeze makes me happy (sad I know). I wear sooooooo many stripey tops! Our cat sleeps on the washing machine, they're funny animals!
ReplyDeleteLove the Chewbacca shirt. Big Star Wars fan here.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
i also love the chewbacca t shirt , he's my favourite star wars character
